Familyguide reports that Great American Family actress Alexa PenaVega recently shared a heartwarming video on her Instagram Story featuring her 4-year-old son, Kingston, singing the popular worship song “Way Maker”.
In the touching clip, Kingston can be heard singing the lyrics:
Waymaker, miracle worker
Promise keeper, light in the darknessMy God, that is who You are
Interestingly, PenaVega’s 2-year-old daughter Rio expressed her own musical preference, citing “Let It Go” from Disney’s FROZEN as her favorite tune.
Following the endearing video, PenaVega responded to a fan’s inquiry about her well-being, stating, “Tennessee has been so good to us. Our family’s thriving.”
PenaVega and her husband Carlos, also a Great American Family actor, have been open about their commitment to incorporating faith into their family life.
“We certainly discuss Bible stories, which is fun and exciting. But I think the crucial aspect is understanding what a relationship with God truly means. There’s learning about the Bible, but then there’s genuine connection,” PenaVega shared with Fox News in a previous interview.
She added, “I found that the most effective way to teach them about faith was by living out my own faith in front of them.”
The couple also prioritizes church attendance. Carlos recently shared insights from a Sunday sermon on social media, emphasizing the importance of aligning family vision with identity, values, and beliefs.
He wrote, “These are the days 🙂 Our main takeaway from church this weekend is the significance of casting vision for your family or any endeavor – and ensuring it aligns with your identity, values, and beliefs. This alignment makes decision-making much simpler. I believe that without it…things just won’t work out.”
The PenaVegas have also relied on their faith during challenging times, including the recent stillbirth of their daughter, Indy. Alexa shared in an Instagram video:
“We’re doing well, actually really well, given the circumstances. We’re incredibly grateful for all your messages of support and prayers – we’ve felt them. I’m not sure how we would have navigated this season without everyone lifting us up in prayer.”
She continued, “This has obviously been the most traumatic experience we’ve faced as a family…but it’s been truly remarkable to witness how God has worked through our family during this time.”
“We’ve undoubtedly felt immense pain, but also an incredible amount of peace. God has met us in this space between pain and peace, and it defies logic, except that it’s His supernatural peace enveloping us,” she added. “Throughout this season, I’ve gained a deep understanding of pain with purpose.”
