For Candace Cameron Bure, maintaining an open dialogue is paramount when it comes to raising children with a strong foundation of faith.
“As a faith-filled parent, our teachings stem from a biblical viewpoint,” the FULL HOUSE alum shared during an appearance on the “Messmerized” podcast.
Bure elaborated, “We establish boundaries and guidelines, but we also foster an environment where they can ask anything. We want them to know that no topic is off-limits. We guide them with God’s teachings, but we also encourage them to share their perspectives, even if they differ from God’s. It’s about creating a secure space for open communication.”

The actress previously discussed faith-based parenting with The Christian Post, stating, “We’re undoubtedly in the midst of a cultural battle, and the most effective approach for parents is to remain consistent, embodying our beliefs through actions rather than mere words.”
“I instilled biblical principles in my children from the start, using the Bible as our foundation for learning and growth,” Bure continued. “Even when they were young, I displayed the fruits of the Spirit on their walls as a reminder of joy, love, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control. We actively discussed these qualities.”
She concluded, “The Bible instructs us to ‘train up a child in the way they should go, and when they are old, they will not depart from it.’ I firmly believe in intentional parenting. We based our teachings on the Bible, and I am now grateful to witness my adult children embracing that path and demonstrating a love for the Lord.”
The proud mother of three has ample reason to celebrate, as her daughter Natasha recently entered matrimony with her longtime love, Bradley Steven Perry.
“We couldn’t have wished for a more compassionate partner than Bradley to cherish and support our daughter,” Bure expressed in an Instagram post from their special day. “Natasha, your inner and outer beauty radiate, and you are already an exceptional wife to your beloved. My heart is overflowing with joy for you both. We extend our deepest love and blessings for all the days you share together.”
In an interview with PEOPLE, Perry said of his wife, “Marriage, to me, signifies a lifelong commitment to the person you are destined to be with. Natasha embodies that for me. I have the privilege of waking up each day and choosing her, honoring her. She is everything I’ve ever dreamed of.”
“I choose Bradley every single day—through the joyful and exciting moments, as well as the quiet or challenging times. We’re building a life together, side by side,” Natasha added.
Bure’s recent comments on “biblical perspective” parenting serve as an encouragement to fellow parents, urging them to maintain open conversations about faith with their children.
