Candace Cameron Bure FINALLY Reveals the 'Why' Behind Her Kids' Unshakeable Faith

For Candace Cameron Bure, fostering an environment of open dialogue is essential when guiding children "as a parent rooted in faith."

During her appearance on the "Messmerized" podcast, the FULL HOUSE alum explained her approach: “As a parent of faith, we’re teaching from a biblical perspective.” She elaborated, highlighting the importance of balancing structure with accessibility. “We have guardrails, we have boundaries, but it’s being open enough to say, ‘There’s nothing you can’t ask. There’s nothing we can’t talk about. And I’m going to show you from why God says that, but I want to hear. If you disagree with God, you tell me why, and let’s talk about it.’ It’s just creating that safety zone.”

In a prior discussion with The Christian Post regarding faith-based parenting, Bure emphasized, “We're definitely in a time of a culture war, and I think the best thing that any of us can do as parents is to be consistent and that we actually walk our walk and we show it by example and not just talk the talk.”

Bure further elaborated on her approach: “I trained my kids up with biblical values, and the Bible is where we started and what we continue to read today.” She recalled how, even when her children were young, she displayed the "fruit of the Spirit" – including joy, love, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control – on their walls as a constant reminder, and these principles were regularly discussed.

Concluding her thoughts, she referenced scripture, stating, “The Bible tells us to 'train up a child in the way they should go and when they are old, they won't depart from it.'” Bure affirms her belief in intentional parenting, noting, “We taught out of the Bible, and I'm grateful to see that I have adult children today who are all following that road and that path, loving the Lord.”

The beloved mother of three has multiple reasons to rejoice lately, particularly with her daughter Natasha's recent marriage to longtime boyfriend Bradley Steven Perry.

On the special day, Bure shared her joy on Instagram: “We couldn’t have asked for a kinder man than Bradley to love and care for our girl.” She added a heartfelt message to her daughter, “Natasha, you are radiant inside and out and are already the best wife to your beloved. My heart swells with happiness for you two. We love you both so much. May God bless all the days of your lives together.”

In an interview with PEOPLE, Perry spoke tenderly about his new wife, stating, “Marriage to me is making a lifelong commitment to the person that you were born to be with. Natasha is that for me. I get to wake up every day and choose her and honor her. She is everything I’ve ever wanted.”

Natasha echoed his sentiments, adding, “I’m choosing Bradley every single day — in the fun and exciting times, and also the quiet or harder moments. We’re building a life together, side by side.”

Ultimately, Bure’s recent insights into parenting with "a biblical perspective" serve as a heartfelt encouragement for other parents to maintain transparent and ongoing discussions about faith with their children.
