During a recent stop on his “See You at the Library” book tour, actor Kirk Cameron urged Christians to strive for a significant spiritual revival in our nation, even as America experiences a decline in moral values.
“I want to inspire people to embrace their faith, courage, and family, and to envision not just a heavenly victory, but a tangible cultural triumph in our lifetime,” Cameron stated. “Many of us observe our country and feel a deep unease about the values being instilled in our children.”
“As a father of six and a grandfather, I’m deeply invested in what we do in our generation, as it will shape the world our children inherit,” he added.
“My goal is to write books and engage with people for as long as I can, encouraging them to turn their hearts towards God and their families, and to take responsibility for raising their children rather than entrusting that task to government institutions with potentially different objectives,” Cameron continued.
The actor reminded parents that significant revivals have occurred in America’s past, often during times of moral decline. However, he emphasized that it requires many people to take a bold stand for their faith values and persist in the face of challenges to help those seeking authentic truth.
“We’ve experienced great awakenings before,” Cameron remarked. “We’ve seen people whose eyes were suddenly opened to what was happening, and they changed course.”

Kirk Cameron is sharing his vision for a great awakening and what we can do to “bring heaven to earth.”
“Revival is my hope for the future of my children and my grandchildren,” he said in a recent YouTube video. “I believe we’ve strayed so far as a country, morally, spiritually, politically, and economically, that if we don’t make immediate corrections, we’re in serious trouble.”
Cameron continued, “I truly believe we’re poised for another great awakening. Historically, great awakenings have occurred during times of moral decline, spiritual apathy, political corruption, and economic collapse,” joking, “I think we’re there, don’t you?”
“[God] is orchestrating circumstances so that we will come to our senses and return to the one who’s been so good to us,” he said.
Cameron is taking action by encouraging parents to stand firm and raise their children in truth. He’s also reaching out to younger generations through his three books and by partnering with schools to offer a new book fair that sells uplifting, child-friendly literature, rather than books promoting questionable moral agendas.
“We all grew up with Scholastic as the publisher of beloved books like ‘Clifford the Big Red Dog,’ ‘Stuart Little,’ and ‘James and the Giant Peach,’ along with fun puzzles,” he said. “However, their book fairs now often include progressive material that undermines traditional values of God, family, and country.”
“You can replace these potentially harmful Scholastic book fairs with wholesome alternatives featuring 500 carefully vetted books that promote positive values,” Cameron added. “We’ve already partnered with over a thousand public and private schools to replace Scholastic book fairs.”
He recently held his second annual See You at the Library event. This year’s 360 gatherings at libraries nationwide attracted tens of thousands, according to the Washington Times, although Guinness World Records declined to recognize the event.
“While Guinness didn’t attend, we believe we held the world’s largest story hour [Saturday] with See You at the Library,” Cameron said.
