Scafidi elaborated on the deceptive nature of these practices, stating, “They tell you like 90% truths just so they have access with a 10% lie, and of course, a 90% truth is a 100% lie.” This initial encounter led her to explore various aspects of the occult, including oracle cards, crystals, and new age philosophies.

Over eight years, Scafidi delved deeper into witchcraft and new age beliefs. She likened the progression to a domino effect, with each new practice opening doors to further exploration. “It’s like you’re trying to drink from all these cisterns, and you’re just still so thirsty. But you’re also becoming addicted to it because I always call them spiritual narcotics,” she explained.

Scafidi’s journey included experiences with crystals, which she described as producing a high-like sensation. She also explored various new age teachings, including the concept that everyone is inherently “one with God” as part of the universe.

However, Scafidi eventually found these beliefs unsatisfying and logically inconsistent. “It’s a house of cards when you start to logically talk through the ideologies,” she remarked.

Her path to transformation began when her mental health deteriorated, and she realized the spiritual practices she had embraced were not helping. In a moment of desperation in 2021, she cried out, “Jesus, save me.” The following day, she experienced a clarity of mind that had eluded her for years.

Scafidi’s conversion was gradual, involving Bible study and a growing conviction about the dangers of her previous practices. She eventually repented and, with the help of a Christian friend, destroyed all her witchcraft-related items.

Now married and devoted to her Christian faith, Scafidi uses her experiences to warn others about the deceptions of witchcraft and new age practices. She emphasizes the importance of understanding the true nature of God rather than creating a false image based on personal desires.
