Justin and Hailey Bieber are overjoyed with the arrival of their first child, a baby boy.

“The pregnancy was a blessing they had hoped and prayed for,” an insider close to the couple revealed to PEOPLE. “Justin was elated when they discovered Hailey was expecting. It was a momentous occasion for both of them.”

The proud father announced the birth on Instagram, sharing, “WELCOME TO THE WORLD JACK BLUES BIEBER.”

Hailey also celebrated the news on her Instagram story, adding a blue heart and teddy bear emoji to the announcement.

Sources close to the couple have shared that the day they learned of Hailey’s pregnancy was “truly special for them both.”

“Their loved ones are thrilled,” the source added. “They’re going to be wonderful parents, and Justin is eager to take on this new role. He’s incredibly excited about raising his child…Both have been deeply moved by the experience. They feel incredibly fortunate.”

Earlier this year, the Biebers shared the news of their pregnancy through a series of photos and videos on social media, which included footage of them renewing their vows.

Pop sensation Justin Bieber and his spouse, Hailey, recently announced they’re expecting their first child, much to the delight of their families.

Justin’s mother, Pattie Mallette, expressed her joy at becoming a grandmother.

“I’ve been anticipating this moment. Oh my goodness, I’m going to be a grandmother!” she exclaimed in an Instagram video.

“Justin and Hailey, you’re going to be incredible parents,” Mallette continued. “I’m so thrilled. Oh, my goodness. Thank God!”

Hailey’s father, Stephen Baldwin, also shared his excitement on social media.

He posted an image from the Biebers’ pregnancy announcement alongside 1 John 4:16, which states, “God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.”

Baldwin wrote in the caption, “Love you guys ❤️ blessed beyond words🙏🏼 praise God 👶🏼let’s get ready to have some fun y’all 🎉”
