“Divine Intervention or Medical Marvel? Former TODAY SHOW Host’s Unbelievable Recovery Shocks Doctors!”

Kathie Lee Gifford experienced what she believes to be a miraculous recovery after fracturing her pelvis.

The beloved television personality suffered an injury earlier this year following hip replacement surgery when she took a fall.

“It didn’t take much, as I was already weak in that area,” Gifford explained to PEOPLE magazine. “Before I knew it, I was back in the hospital with a fractured pelvis, both in the front and back. The pain from this was even worse than what I experienced with my hip. A pelvic injury is incredibly painful. But here I am, pushing through.”

However, after undergoing surgery for her pelvis, Gifford noticed something unusual about her healing process.

“I retreated to my small farm near Nashville,” Gifford shared on TBN. “I was using a walker and had a private nurse with me. She cautioned me, saying, ‘Kathie, you shouldn’t be walking like that with the walker. You can’t put weight on your right leg.’ But I responded, ‘It doesn’t hurt though.’ She insisted I couldn’t, and I asked, ‘Shouldn’t I be in severe pain?’ Pelvic injuries are notoriously painful, and she agreed that I should be in agony. I suggested we contact my doctor.”

“We reached out to my doctor, and he asked me to come in immediately,” she continued. “He’s a man of faith, and when I told him I felt healed, he still wanted to take an X-ray. When he showed me the results, he said, ‘See that? That’s the beautiful new hip I gave you, Kathie. And look here – you’re healed.'”

“By God’s grace and mercy, my pelvis was completely fine. This was merely two days after I’d left the hospital,” she recalled.

Gifford told PEOPLE that her physician described her recovery as “miraculous,” and she hopes her experience will inspire others to have faith in God’s healing power.

“To anyone out there seeking hope and waiting for their miracle, don’t give up,” she encouraged. “God hears your prayers. He understands what you’re going through. I’m deeply thankful, and I continue to pray for all my friends and loved ones who are still waiting for their healing.”

Gifford has long been open about her faith and its importance in her life, often sharing how it has helped her through difficult times and brought her joy.
