HGTV personality Jenny Marrs recently pondered a cherished Bible verse while gearing up for the launch of her upcoming book.
In a recent Instagram update, she shared, “Exodus 10:2 is underlined, starred and highlighted in my Bible.” Marrs expressed her affection for the NLT version, which reads: “‘You will be able to tell wonderful stories to your children and grandchildren about the marvelous things I am doing (among the Egyptians) to prove that I am Lord.’”
She went on to explain, “This morning, as I read these ancient words, a little over a month before my book — Trust God, Love People — launches into the world, I felt an immense peace.”
The television personality elaborated, stating, “After all, the reason I wrote all of these stories down was for my children to have a record of God’s faithfulness to our family. I wanted them to have a hardback, black-and-white, printed testimony for themselves and for their own kids to read someday. I wanted them to know the details of all the 'marvelous things' He has done so that when their facing their own 'stubborn Pharoah [sic]' moment, they will be able stand firm on the faithfulness of our trustworthy God.”

Her forthcoming book, Trust God, Love People: Stories of My Openhanded Faith, is described by the Penguin Random House website as “opening wide the doors to her life and her family’s home to share stories of how little steps of faith have added up to an unexpected and abundant life.”
The synopsis further notes, “As we, like Jenny, learn to take our next step in faith and love the people around us, we can walk confidently into adventures beyond our wildest expectations.”
The *FIXER TO FABULOUS* personality recently recounted a close friend’s response to reading an advance copy of the publication.
Marrs revealed in an Instagram post, “She shared with me that, as she read my words, tears pooled and she felt seen by God through my stories of His faithfulness. She shared my words from chapter 12, saying how deeply they resonated with her in this season: ‘My still-newly-home toddler needed me, and sometimes following God’s lead is not always an adventure — sometimes it’s a sacrificial way of living that allows Him to work amidst very ordinary circumstances.’”
Marrs added, “This is what I prayed for all along. That God would use these stories to breathe life into smoldering embers of faith. Sharing them with the world feels vulnerable and scary but, as October approaches, God keeps reminding me that I did my part and He’ll do His.”
Trust God, Love People: Stories of My Openhanded Faith is slated for release on October 7.
