“DUCK DYNASTY Star Reveals Surprising Secret to Building an Unshakeable Family Legacy”

DUCK DYNASTY’s Korie Robertson and Beth Redman, spouse of Christian musician Matt Redman, recently came together to discuss how families can create a lasting legacy.

“Much of the legacy-building knowledge I’ve gained comes from observing families in my church,” Redman shared. “It wasn’t through formal teaching or sermons, but by watching their lives unfold, especially during times of hospitality.”

Robertson reflected, “I’m fortunate to have parents who love God and raised me in faith, as did Willie. But there were also others in our church community who became spiritual mentors to me. I see this happening for our daughters too. It’s crucial to utilize the church as it’s intended – as a family.”

“The church is meant to be a family unit – with mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, and uncles. Our show portrayed our family gathered around the dinner table, and many viewers express a desire for that kind of connection. I always emphasize that this is what church should provide. It requires effort and isn’t perfect, but it’s attainable,” Robertson explained.

Both women acknowledged that neither families nor churches achieve perfection. Robertson advises those struggling to build family connections to look to their church community.

“Seek out those relationships within your church. If you don’t naturally have that in your environment, create it through friendships and connections with older women who can offer guidance,” she suggested.

Redman added, “While we may come from a Christian background, it’s an ongoing process until we reach heaven. For those who didn’t grow up with a legacy-type family, look for the elements of grace in your own story.”

She encourages holding onto even small merciful aspects and applying them to your family’s legacy.

Redman continued, “We were discussing Psalm 78 yesterday, and I was struck by how often it mentions ‘from generation to generation.’ This isn’t just about the afterlife; it’s a model for us on Earth. We see this generational approach in churches, and the phrase appears 54 times in the Bible.”

“This underscores the importance of legacy – multi-generational families passing down values like a baton. If you don’t have a long line of predecessors, remember that it can start with you. This isn’t meant to be burdensome; Jesus is sufficient for it to begin with you,” Redman emphasized.

The Robertsons have ensured that their legacy reflects a focus on God rather than themselves. Their actions are intended for God’s glory, not self-promotion.

A key part of their family tradition, as depicted in DUCK DYNASTY, is praying together at the dinner table and engaging in meaningful conversation.

Familyguide previously reported on the Robertsons:

DUCK DYNASTY stars Willie and Korie Robertson recently shared how Willie’s family embraced faith and stressed the importance of boldly sharing the gospel in all areas of life.

“We need more Christians in various professions,” Willie stated. “Ministers are great, but we also need Christian business leaders, entertainers, and others who bring a ministry mindset to their work – not just claiming belief, but actively living it out.”
