Actress Alexa PenaVega courageously vocalizes her Christian faith and pro-life convictions. However, she admits there was a period when apprehension held her back until she discovered a community of like-minded individuals. 

When asked by the pro-life organization Live Action if other celebrities had privately shared similar pro-life sentiments, PenaVega confirmed, telling them, “There are a handful of people in our industry that share very similar values and very similar feelings.”

PenaVega credits this supportive community, united by faith, with emboldening her. 

“I remember back in the day, I wouldn't even be able to say Jesus because I was afraid of speaking about Jesus, but when I started hanging around like-minded people, I realized I wasn't alone,” the SPY KIDS star recounted. Her advice: “If you're afraid of stepping forward, get an amazing community around you, and that will change everything.” 

The mother of four children expanded in another discussion on the profound meaning of advocating for the unborn and offering solace to mothers facing unexpected pregnancies. 

“So many of these women just want to be embraced. They feel lost and alone,” she expressed to Lila Rose, president of Live Action. “They don't feel like there's anywhere else to go, their boyfriends or husbands even, like, somebody might be pushing for it, and that's not even something that they want to do.” 

“They just need to know that they have people rallying behind them,” the actress reiterated. 

 PenaVega actively challenged the pro-choice argument that the pro-life movement's concern for babies ceases after birth. 

“They want to help you after you've given birth. It is a true family. It's a community. It's a warm embrace. There are so many beautiful organizations like yours [Live Action] that see women through long after birth and help their children, help them, help their family situation. And it does take a community.” 

The Miami-born star is not only steadfast in her opposition to abortion but also fervent in her faith, regularly posting biblical encouragement on her social media platforms. 

She recently shared the following prayer on Instagram, which reads: 

Jesus we need you 

Stir up love in our hearts. 

Fill us with the fruits of the Spirit. 

Give us faith over fear. 

And abundance of grace. 

May we be so consumed by your love that there isn't room for anything else.
